During the ten years to 2005 we raised and used £1.3 million to rebuild our original 1960’s accommodation. In 2006 we launched the WISH Appeal (Where Independence Starts at Home) to initially provide two flats for training in independent living and subsequently targeted the appeal to raise funds to provide further residential accommodation to meet the demand of people with Cerebral Palsy on our increasing waiting list.
Part of this Appeal is the 200 Club, into which members are asked to pay £5 per month by standing order (or cash (to cover one year). Monthly prizes are paid of £50, £100 and £250, with a £1,000 prize every six months. The appeal receives £5,200 per year from the 200 Club at the 200 member level.
We are continuing to increase the membership and will pay out the same proportion in prizes. Please help improve the lives of people with Cerebral Palsy who need our residential care by contributing to the WISH Appeal through the 200 Club to help us provide more much needed accommodation.
